Ongoing focus on yachts, mega-houses... diverts attention from the action needed by the 20 tons per capita per year folks that probably constitute the large portion of the readers. Convert the graph from tons per capita to total tons. Multiply the 1% number by 1 and the 10% number by 10 - 70 versus 200 - the 10% crowd is responsible for the biggest share of lot of total carbon - even if you multiply the middle 40% number by 40 for 160. That 20 tons per capita crowd per capita crowd needs to do less heating and cooling (none between 13C-30C/55F-85F, https://greenbetween.home.blog), less driving, less flying, less meat-eating. To help you figure if you are in the 20 tons per capita crowd here are some rough numbers. 7 tons for heating your home above 55°F. 7 tons for cooling your home below 85°F. 4 tons for driving 12,000 miles at 29 miles per gallon. 2 tons for flying 10,000 miles. 1 ton for eating one serving of beef each day.
