I looked for a long time for a good tub for our small bathroom and because I didn’t want to soak in acrylic I was trapped into a stainless steel enamelled apron side alcove tub that is too small for me although great for my kids because no bigger options were available (or affordable.) its otherwise great but too short for my 5”7
In my opinion, for a shower to be comfortable it needs to be “enclosed”. Over 20 years ago I removed the old tub tiles and drywall and installed water-proof drywall and Mr. Marble panels and the best sliding glass doors I could find. To this day I have not found a more comfortable shower.
I wouldn’t go near one of these tubs. They should donate them to vineyards to use for stomping grapes.
