It’s funny how you guys were saying that climate journalists shouldn’t talk in jargon because many people don’t understand them and then start talking about R290 without explaining what it is. I never heard of it and follow climate news regularly.
I am sorry. It’s propane, which is a wonderful refrigerant, but is flammable. We all have 20 pounds of it hanging around are barbecue but it couldn’t go in heat pumps in the US because there was so much money to be made from chlorofluorocarbons. This recently changed a bit, but there are still issues.
