I first visited Dublin in 1980 and have been back several times, but yes the transition to what in 1980 was still a bit old Dublin complete with a few surviving horse drawn wagons and carts to today’s Dublin is unbelievable.
If you ever get to Wellington, you'll probably start comparing Dublin to Amsterdam. We are trying but when you've got narrow streets on steep hills it's tough.
