Other than the photo of a driveway in Atlanta, those other pictures are taken by Lloyd, which means they are probably from Canada. Wouldn't know since he didn't state any locations other than a US city.

Right, because the cobblestone roads of Italy, France, Spain, Portugal, and the UK are so much more level and stable for people to walk on?

They seem to cope, probably in part because those cobblestone roads arent designed for high volumes of speeding vehicular traffic, so they don't need to worry about that as they move about on said roads.

Sounds like Toronto has some big problems.

Lloyd wrote: "When fixing the street last year, these workers shut off the sidewalk and a full lane of traffic so they could conveniently park their trucks and a trailer right in front. Meanwhile, the seniors living in a building just a block away were told to walk on the other side, even though they had to cross all this traffic and a streetcar right-of-way, which cannot be done safely. THIS JUST SHOULDN'T BE ALLOWED. [emphasis added]"

Look at that photo again and tell me that having ANYONE—let alone seniors—be able to walk so close to an active construction site WITHOUT A SIDEWALK TO WALK ON is something that SHOULD be allowed! C'mon Lloyd, you've said some stupid stuff before but this is right up there at the top. Do you think construction can be all done in a day? Or maybe the risk of falling construction materials is preferential to that of the minor inconvenience requiring people cross on the other side of the street where construction is NOT taking place?

V, you don't know Toronto, and you don't know this site, between a subway station and a seniors home, you don't know what is in the middle of the street and how wide or far it is, and you don't know what is behind that fence- stuff that could easily have been parked around the corner. Even on the most minor matter like this you are on the attack.

I enjoy comments, they keep me honest. But you are getting ridiculous and this is not fun anymore.

So there is no crosswalks further down the roadway for the pedestrians?

Spot on Lloyd! Where your mother fell, not only was the blocked handrail an issue, but the terribly designed steps continuous along a sloping walkway as the starting point. That is the perfect recipe for anyone of any age tripping. Looks cool though NOT

And construction hoarding over the top blocking natural light.

I worry about my parents. I’m afraid to tempt them out of their house to do things with me. But they cant just stay home all the time either.
