There are houses in my neighborhood built in the forties that have asbestos siding. After all these decades, they still look great and need no painting or other upkeep. It's easy to understand why asbestos was such a popular building material.
There are so many wonderful products that the Moron of Mar-A-Loco could bring back -- DDT, Freon and tobacco come to mind. All of them were unfairly targeted by namby pamby socialists suffering from a woke mind virus. SO WRONG!!!!
We were driving through Ontario back in the 1980s and "stumbled" on Asbestos - we even stopped and visited the "Asbestos is your friend" themed museum!
A couple of years ago we were in Thetford Mines, Quebec, where the asbestos mine is closed. There's still a giant tailings pile (20 stories tall?) right in the middle of town.
Thanks for the article Lloyd. Three years ago my small company in Bozeman, Montana was actually sued for asbestos by grifter law firm in Michigan. We were included in a class action suit that included Ford Motor company, Bechtel, Grace and a number other big names. We were served with 6 lawsuits by certified mail. It took over a year and cost over $10,000.00 to have them all dismissed with prejudice. Our General Liability policy specifically excludes asbestos. Of course, we sell heating systems but have nothing to do with asbestos.
After it was over, I called another obviously small business in Michigan that was included in the list and spoke with the owner. They had received 27 lawsuits in the mail!

I give it ten minutes until DDT fans come on and start going on about Rachel Carson
"10 minutes"...2 days later.
Predicting the future is just so easy to do. Like these:

Is the museum still there?
Sorry, we were there for family stuff. And to get rained on.
