Design is key. How about design to allow repair? I find the hardest part to repair is access to the interior of the product. Often, once you get inside, repair is comparatively easy. Why do companies install triangular screws when no one has a triangle screw driver? Rhetorical question. The answer is that planned obsolescence makes more money. Thank the billionaires for coming up with this idea. If a product is not designed to repair, then we refuse to buy.
