I'm not a lawyer - I would have thought that if the US didn't have a safety standard, the local (EU) law and standard would prevail. That would have the effect of banning the dangerous monsters by default.
Seeing these trucks in France from time to time is nothing short of shocking. They make no sense in this market and quite literally do not fit on the roads. I wish the whole world would ban and rebel against these monstrosities.

Being a political blogger, I think it's more true than not when viewed from the 50,000 foot level AND be willing to simply view it after removing oneself (and compartmentalizing) from the partisanship war and become dispassionate at looking at both sides.
The "both sidesism" of legacy media is what got us in this goddamn mess in the first place. There are often multiple sides to a story. It is also true that the two sides are rarely equal in value, accuracy, truth or moral worthiness.
I sure wish the rest of the world would just say no to Trump. It will make it easier to get rid of him and his enablers.

Imposing tariffs on every country, without regard to any economic principle.
Nomination of RFK, Jr.
Pardoning the January 6 criminals
Nomination of Hegseth as Secretary of Defense. I could include a dozen other cabinet choices
Walking away from the Covid vaccination development, the only smart thing he's ever done.
Trying to get rid of the Fed's independence
Cutting funding from the IRS, which will reduce the government's revenue from tax evaders
Restoring Confederate monuments and military base names
Denying climate
Embracing "Supply side economics
And maybe the most stupid, pissing off our allies.
